Newlywed Life in Provo

Well, we live in Provo now. Weird? Yes! I must say, I miss Rexburg terribly. We both do. We love Rexburg so much. It's actually probably a good thing we left when we did, otherwise I would have been tempted to permanently locate there. So, Provo is no Rexburg, but it's cool! We're having fun here and we're surrounded by wonderful people, so we're enjoying ourselves! This is our life recently:
Who knew the Provo temple was so pretty! I had actually never been there, but the landscaping blew me away. It was beautiful! Michael and I were all dressed up to go to the temple, and then I realized that my temple recommend was at home with mama. So, we went anyway and took some pictures. Mom sent me the recommend and we were able to go to the temple a couple of days later with Tiffany. What a huge blessing it was to have her with me and share that together since she couldn't be there for the wedding :)
We have FHE every Sunday night and Michael gets out our Build-a-Bears and gives them his chinese scriptures. hahahahah!! It was really cute, he is so good about organizing FHE!
We do puzzles while we watch the BYU game. You may be thinking that this looks like an interesting puzzle choice, well, it was a gift from my dear friend Jenny May Leaderich thank you very much, and we had a great time putting it together :) The truth is, I gave up and Michael did most of the hard work! hehe!
BYU game #2, My turn to choose the puzzle :) HSM Baby!A HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE blessing of living in Provo. Some of my BEST girlfriends in the world are here with me! These girls were all my roommates at BYUI and we love each other SO MUCH! Whenever I am bored, they come to the rescue! Tiffany, Brooke, me and Lauren. It really feels SO good to be reunited again!
C-man turned 25!! Woop woo!! Michael and I absolutely LOVE getting together with Tiffany and Collin. We are always so happy when we're with them! They have been our great friends for years now and we could NOT be happier to live just minutes from them!
Another game night at Tiffy and Collins :) We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby Hilton! Isn't she the most adorable pregnant girl?!
And there's my man putting up my curtain rod! He has turned out to be very handy and he is willing to take under and project so far! It's really cute! And it's fun learning things together! Basically, we're having a great time and enjoy every minute together :)
p.s- I GOT THE JOB! I am an exercise specialist at Utah Physiatry and I start next week. wa hoo!!!!!!!!!! We are so so so blessed.

Our Weekend in Texas

We had an open house in Michael's hometown, Carrollton, TX. It was wonderful! I was so busy having fun that I didn't take a single picture! BOO! Luckily, Lauren and Bill did so the ones I have to share are stolen from them. But, the rest I will have to steal from my mom eventually. The weekend started off with QUITE a fright when our luggage was accidentaly taken by another passenger on the plane. If you're going to steal a suitcase, steal a newlyweds suitcase, because they have good gifts in there!! I was SO sad :(. BUT, we were blessed after a lot of prayers in just a couple of hours and the man called us and returned the suitcase. PHEWPH!

Our first night there we went out to dinner with the Jolley and Woodmansee parents. It was so wonderful! I cannot even begin to explain to you how thankful I was to have my parents there with me and how wonderful and kind the Woodmansees were to us and my parents. It was such a great weekend. Outside of the open house, we fit a lot of fun things into 1 weekend!

-Michael finally reported his mission to the high council (not many people do that when they're already married, it was funny :) It was also a very wonderful experience, and I cried.
-Michael took mom, dad, and I downtown Dallas to see where JKF was shot, the Holocaust Museum, and the cool Mustangs
-Mom and I got our nails done :)
-The Woodmansees had us over for dinner and wonderful company! We had a great time chatting and laughing all night

And then of course, the real reason we went to Texas in the first place... the open house!! Michael, Cheri, and Shellie did a fantastic job of organizing this wonderful occasion! They really are incredibly good to us and we love them. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Many people who were close to Michael growing up were there and I was so happy to meet them. We had a DELICIOUS cake that I could not get enough of! There was delicious food, great company, and I was thrilled to be able to wear my gorgeous dress again. I miss it already. It really was a wonderful weekend. It was great to spend some time with the Woodmansees before we went back to Utah and everyone knows that Mom and Dad add extra fun to everything. It was a huge blessing to me to have them there.
Cutting into our yummy Cake :)
Ruby Slippers :) I want to put my dress on right now.
So happy to be Married!
Matchmaker, Ms. Lauren Rasmussen. You get special blessings in heaven for introducing us!
Lauren is one of my greatest friends and I was so happy she could be there. She was a bridesmaid too, as you can tell by her dress.
Michael's good friend, and Lauren's brother, Tanner Rasmussen.
I find this picture so comical! Michael being all studly.
And I was pretty pooped from all the fun by the end of the night.
I wish that I would have taken pictures so I could post some of Mom, Dad, Cheri, Richard, Shellie, Judd, Bill, Amber and all of the other great people there! But I'll get my hands on those pictures later. THANK YOU everyone for all the help and fun in Texas :)
P.S- I had my second interview today for an Exercise Specialist position that I really want. Cross your fingers for me!!

Honeymoon on the beach!

Michael and I went on our Honeymoon to Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast. It was so wonderful! Connie was so great and found us a beach house and it was totally perfect for us! Perfect size, close to the beach, view of the beach from the porch, and cute! We got to stay for 4 days and 4 nights and we were bummed to go back to real life after feeling totally carefree! We drove up and down the coast and saw a lot of beauty, because you can't avoid it on the Oregon coast!I wanted to share some pictures! There are lots! This is in front of our quaint little joint after we bought some groceries for the week :)
Showing off our sweent new PJs from mom!
THANK YOU to everyone who was involved in that AWESOME basket that was left in our car! We got to our beach house on Sunday and had no food, so we had the treats in the basked for dinner :) There's Michael with our dinner!
Some of you have seen Michael around the ocean. But, for those of you who haven't. HE'S INSANE! He knows how cold it is, yet he just darts for the water and swims like a fish! CRAZY!
Delicious salt water taffy! We're still finishing it off. The cashier lady totally called us out and knew we were newleyweds haha! She was a cute old lady!
We went to Tillamook and it was such a blast! We had the delicious ice cream and sqeaky cheese!

Jenni Woodmansee

You guys, I'm still so happy that it's hard for me to even type words. like... a;sldkjf;alskdjf;alieuoiasjdlvkjnas;dlkfja;owiefja;lskdjg would be more appropriate!!! Just my hands going crazy on the keys because I can't believe this is really happening. I am married to Michael, our wedding day was the best wedding day there ever was and we live in this cute apartment- TOGETHER!! It's a wonderful life! I was without the internet for 2 weeks, so I feel so behind. As far as pictures go, I have what I have collected from other people. I am waiting on the professional pictures which are currently in my mom's hands and I think on their way to me. They are posted however on the photographer's blog. Brandon (at the temple), and Scott (at the reception), were both great!! The pictures are beautiful so far and I'm so grateful! I will share with you what I can right now, but mostly, I want to type my feelings about the day because this blog has somewhat become my journal. First of all, I'm just so completely in love with Michael. I have never met such a patient, kind, handsome person. Seriously, he has a heart of gold and I believe I am the luckiest girl alive. Sometimes, I still look at him, or look at old pictures and think... "no way, Michael and I made it, we are married". It's a miracle. A miracle that we've been waiting for
I am still in complete awe of how wonderful everyone was throughout the whole wedding business and on the actual day especially. Everyone! Family, friends, bridesmaids, groomsmen, everyone was so good to us and made me feel like everything was going to smoothly. ESPECIALLY MY MOTHER! She made our day happen. And let me tell you, our wedding day honestly was the best day of my life. I am so thankful that michael and I were able to be sealed in the temple. It was such an incredible experience and then the rest of the day was a real dream come true. I had so much FUN! that is the only word to describe it. FUN!!!
Our wedding party was GORGEOUS! And full of the funnest people around. For real though, they looked SO good, I was so happy!Melanie, Bethany, and all who helped with the centerpieces nailed my vision PERFECTLY!And Judd took these awesome pictures! My nieces and nephews sang Michael and I the most TENDER song and I cried, and laughed, and could NOT stop smiling! My dad and I got DOWN to jailhouse rock for our daddy daugher dance and then I danced the night away with the rest of the guests. PERFECT!
The cake was just as I hoped! PERFECT! And was quite delicious!! I was so pleased! The decorations were everything I wanted. I wanted someone to look at the place and know that it was our wedding, and I really felt that it had our personalities written all over it.

I really could go on forever. I replay the day over and over in my head all of the time. Michael and I had so much fun. We are so happy. SO SO happy. There just really aren't words to explain how much I love being with him. Ok, I'll stop. :) I have some fun pictures from the beach on our honeymoon and our reception in Texas and I'll be sure to blog those soon. But for now, just know that the wedding day was everything I've ever wanted!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aberdeen Days!

My lovely roommate Lindsey Palmer now has her own blog (YAY!), which means that she already blogged about Aberdeen Days, but since most of you haven't discovered her blog yet, I'm going to post about it too because it was the best weekend of the summer! As expected! As usual, be prepared for LOTS of pictures! It's just too hard to choose. Lindsey is from a small town in Idaho called Aberdeen. For those of you who haven't experienced small towns in Idaho, you are MISSING OUT! I fell in love with Aberdeen last year during Aberdeen Days and was SO excited to go back this year! They have this huge town party and it's awesome! We started out the weekend with a night time boat ride on Friday night...
We had quite a crowd this year! There were 11 of us college kids that came and inavded Aberdeen and the Palmer home. They were SO good to us! It really was a blast. A weekend with my greatest friends in the greatest town. Saturday morning we went to have breakfast in the park with the whole dang town! It was so great! There was also a pretty radical car show that we checked out after breakfast. It made me think of Dad the whole time! He would have loved it!
The rest of Saturday just got better and better! We went to the lake all morning and played on the boat. We went tubing (I didn't mention that before I went, mom, because I knew that'd make you nervous!), and layed in the sunshine. And good news people, I LATHERED on the sun screen and made it through the whole day with just sunburned knee caps hahaha!!! PHEWPH!
We took a break from the lake and headed into town for the parade!! WA HOOO!!!!! It was super fun! The boys were all over the candy throwing and we collected alot of loot! Then, we had more fun at the lake until the sun went down! To end this wonderful day, we went to the town fish fry in the park! SO GREAT! I was in heaven the whole time. Seriously, it was just a 100% blissful weekend! And, the slumber parties with my girls everynight were fabulous as well!!
And these are the wonderful Palmer parents with the 11 kids they took in for the weekend! They were SO SO GOOD TO US! We had delicious food, so much fun, and lots of laughs! THANK YOU PALMERS!!!

The 4th of July... at Wal-Mart

It was a great 4th of July. Obviously, there is not really anything quite like spending it in Janus Ct. with our neighborhood BBQ, dad's patriotic speaches, flag cake, and our private firework show at night. But, trust me, mine was eventful nonetheless, just in a different way. Michael's brother and sister in law and their kids (Robert, Tamara, Nathaniel, Benjamin, and LuCielle) came in to town to spend the weekend with Michael's grandparents and us, which was wonderful! They brought sanity to me after a long day at Wal-Mart, thank heavens for them! I had to work from 11-8... so all day and it was seriously the most eventful day EVER! If you're in for the stories... keep reading...

To start, I was 20 minutes late because of parade traffic, I should have known that was a sign that it was going to be a crazy day.

I showed up in my blue shirt with red and white accessories feeling nice and patriotic! I just get to work and I see a guy that I work with walk by. His name is Chip. I say, "Hey Chip!". He says, "Hey Jenni!" And he passes by and I thought that was all. Then I hear a noise. So I turn around to find chip collapsed on the floor. It really was scary. Managers rushed around him, and then I remembered that Chip has epilepsy. He had a seizure. He usually knows when they are coming and he goes to sit down, but this time he didn't make it and his head hit the cement floor- hard. Once he woke up, he tried to stand up and then fell again. It really was breaking my heart to see him this way. But, he's the bravest man ever. He got right up and went back to work with an ice pack on his elbow and head. Come to find out, the fall did split his head open and he was bleeding. He figures that he might as well stay at work and be productive with people who can help him rather than go home alone. What a positive attitude. I would have peaced out in a hot second!

So, I was a little frazzled from that whole experience, but I just went back to work. About an hour later I was checking a customer out, and behind them I could see a little boy, probably about 3, playing on the cart. My first thought, "WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING YOUR CHILD TO DO THAT?????" I see kids get hurt all the time and it scares me everytime. I just kept on with my business and then I watched that poor little boy fall head first onto the cement. It was the loudest thud I've ever heard and made my heard just drop into my stomach. Oh he SCREAMED bloody murder and his head swelled up like a melon within seconds. I coudn't quite tell if it split open, but I think it did. I was just imagining one of my little nephews and it made me so sad!!!! that poor boy. So, please- do not allow your children to play on the carts!!!!

As you can imagine, I'm super frazzled by this time. But didn't have much time to recover until the next event occured. The checker next to me was getting chewed out by a girl who couldn't have been more than 17 for not letting her purchase alcohol with her boyfriend who was over 21. Do they think we are complete idiots????? Not only do we get fined thousands of dollars for selling alcohol to minors, but we get fired. She was seriously stupid. I don't know anyone who seriously thinks that they can purchase alcohol before they are 21. Holy crap, what planet is she from!??? So, they went to the other side of the store, tried another checker, and got the beer. OHHH man was the cashier P.Oed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, my wonderful fiance came to the rescue and took me on a wonderful 4th of July picnic on my lunch hour :). It was such a sweet escape. I love him.

BUT, once I returned, there was more waiting for me. I managed to spill a gallon of milk everywhere and while I was cleaning it up, noticed the cute little boy with down syndrom go down in the doorway. GOL- CAN THIS REALLY BE HAPPENING??? This one was pretty scary. The paramedics came. His pacemaker was having problems and his heart was functioning for the moment. It was really sad. He was down for quite some time. But, once he woke up, he jumped up so fast... it was kind of weird.

You guys, seriously- that all happened in one day of work. PHEWPH!!!!!!!!

Finally, 8:00 came and I walked across the street to meet Michael, his family, his friend and groomsman Dexton, and my roommates for the fireworks. THAT was the greatest part of my day. It's a pretty big event here in Idaho Falls and we had a blast playing games, eating, and watching fireworks. It was a really fun atmosphere. Michael's niece and nephews really are adorable. At one point, Benjamin said, "Aunt Jenni, can I sit on your lap and watch the fireworks". Aw, tender! So, all in all- it was a great 4th. Certainly a day I won't be forgetting anytime soon!

The fireworks with the music and everything make me choke up a little! I am SO grateful to be an American. We are so blessed in this free country and I love celebrating the 4th of July!
